Hi, when I go to play a video game called Call of Duty Black Ops 6, it keeps giving me an alert that I need TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot enabled, and I suspect I need it enabled for Call of Duty Black Ops 7 when it releases so I'm trying to figure the issue out now, I have Secure Boot enabled, but it seems that my TPM is at version 1.3 and I have no clear way on how to upgrade it, I'm using an OMEN 30L Desktop - GT13-0024 with a 64 bit processor, and I'm currently on Windows 11, please help thank you for your time.

Thanks for all your efforts @Cdavis115.
I appreciate your patience, and I’m truly sorry you're facing this TPM 2.0 compatibility issue—especially when you're eager to enjoy your game without interruptions. It’s frustrating when a system that feels powerful and ready still throws up roadblocks, and I want to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
Here’s a focused approach to help resolve the TPM version and attestation issue on your OMEN 30L Desktop GT13-0024:
1. Confirm TPM Status in Windows
- Press Win + R, type tpm.msc, and press Enter.
- In the TPM Management window:
- Check Status: It should say “The TPM is ready for use.”
- Check Specification Version: It must show 2.0.
- If it shows 1.2 or 1.3, continue with the next steps.
2. Check BIOS Settings
- Restart your PC and press Esc or F10 repeatedly during boot to enter BIOS.
- Navigate to Advanced > Trusted Computing or Security > TPM Configuration.
- Ensure Firmware TPM (fTPM) is enabled.
- Save changes and exit.
3. Update BIOS Manually Even if automatic updates say you're current, manually installing the latest BIOS can unlock TPM 2.0 support and resolve attestation issues.
Visit the official HP driver page for your model:
OMEN 30L GT13-0024 BIOS and Drivers
Download the latest BIOS update listed under “BIOS.”
Follow the on-screen instructions to install it carefully.
Restart your system after installation.
4. Clear TPM (Optional but Safe)
- Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Device Security > Security Processor Details.
- Click Security Processor Troubleshooting > Clear TPM.
- Follow the prompts and restart your system.
These steps are designed to help your system meet the requirements for games that rely on TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot for integrity and anti-cheat enforcement. I understand how disappointing it is to be blocked from a game you’re excited to play, and I hope this brings you closer to a smooth, uninterrupted experience.
If you’d like help interpreting the TPM status or BIOS update results, I’m here to assist further. Let’s get your system fully ready for the next chapter.

Hi @Cdavis115
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
Thanks for laying that out so clearly—it’s genuinely frustrating to be blocked from a game you’re excited to play, especially when the system seems capable but TPM 2.0 isn’t cooperating.
You deserve a smooth experience, and I want to help you get this sorted.
Here’s how you can enable TPM 2.0 on your OMEN 30L Desktop GT13-0024:
Steps to Enable TPM 2.0 in BIOS
Enter BIOS Setup
- Restart your PC.
- As it boots, repeatedly press Esc or F10 until the BIOS/UEFI menu appears.
Navigate to Security Settings
- Use arrow keys to go to the Security tab.
- Look for TPM Device, Security Chip, or Embedded Security.
- Set it to Enabled.
Verify TPM Version
- If it shows TPM 1.2 or 1.3, check for a Firmware Update option.
- Some systems allow upgrading TPM 1.2 to 2.0 via BIOS firmware update.
Save and Exit
- Press F10 to save changes and exit BIOS.
Update BIOS (if needed)
- Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page for your OMEN 30L.
- Download and install the latest BIOS update—this may unlock TPM 2.0 support.
Check TPM Status in Windows
- Press Win + R, type tpm.msc, and hit Enter.
- Confirm that TPM 2.0 is listed under Specification Version.
Let me know how the system responds after these steps. If TPM 2.0 shows up and Secure Boot is already enabled, you’ll be ready for Black Ops 6—and future releases too. If it still shows 1.2 or 1.3, I’ll help you explore deeper firmware options to unlock full compatibility.
If my response helped, please mark it as an Accepted Solution! ✅ It helps others and spreads support. 💙 Also, tapping "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" makes a big difference! Thanks! 😊
Take care, and have an amazing day!

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, AMD tells me I need to consult HP for a potential Firmware update but when I check the updates on the website I'm up to date apparently.
AMD says "Trusted Platform Module (TPM) attestation for AMD platforms with ASP firmware TPM might fail with error code 0x80070490 on Windows® systems." and that I need to "Contact your motherboard manufacturer’s customer service department to determine if a firmware update is available."
