Product: Hp All in One 24

My mother bought this computer for me as a gift, and it runs great. The performance is amazing, and I can't be any happier with that. However, I was looking at my storage and saw that I only had 256 GB on what I assume is an SSD. That is less storage than my laptop. This is main computer now, and I need a lot more storage than that. So my question is how do I go about getting more storage. Can I buy another hard drive and install it? Do I need to look into external storage? What is the next step.

This Link will give you an idea of the physical part of the upgrade.

 

If you look up your PC model number

you can find it on HP support and locate the specifics of type and size of hard drive upgrade, or post your model number here and someone will help you out with that.

There are a lot of df0's 🙂

 

If you click the Windows start button and type sysinfo into the search bar and click on System Info you'll find you're full model number.

 

Don't post the serial number, just the model.

It is an HP ALL-IN-ONE - 24-DF0032DS, as shown here.  It has a 256GB NVMe M.2 SSD

The existing 256GB m.2 NVMe SSD can be replaced. 

You get the new NVMe SSD, and use a USB3.0 to NVMe adapter. You use cloning software like the free Macrium Reflect 7.  After cloning, swap the SSD's. Now you will have a portable NMVe SSD, but at USB3.0 speed.

Im sorry, I don't really understand tech lingo. Will doing all of this increase my storage size? I simply want to go above 256GB.
