How to Disable fn key on HP Pavilion All-in-one 24-k0xxx?

I have just purchased model HP 24-k0020ng AiO i7 16 N wh W10H and it has the same infuriating function key setup.

I am using software which makes heavy use of function keys and having to press the fn key first is extremely annoying.

Is it still the only way to use a keyboard from another manufacturer.

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Did you check the in the BIOS? If you do not have the option in BIOS, then you will not be able to disable the Action Key

• Enable or disable fn (function) or action keys mode
• Turn on the computer and immediately press the f10 key repeatedly to open the BIOS Setup Utility. Press the right or left arrow key to select the System Configuration menu. Press the up or down arrow key to select Action Keys Mode.

Yes, the BIOS functionality to operate the F keys without the fn key is not included in the current BIOS version.

If there is no other possibility, I will have to return the device to the dealer.

Does a standard keyboard possibly work? Although this may not be an acceptable solution for a high-priced device either.

Perhaps you should also bring this problem to the attention of the responsible product managers.

The f-keys are extremely important for many software products. And this problem is apparently not new for HP products. But I am missing an essential solution, for example by providing a BIOS-Upate.
