I keep getting a message that my battery care function is set to 100% and that I should change it in my BIOS settings to 80%. I have tried to use the F10 key to get to BIOS so that I could make the adjustment - it does nothing when I hit the F10 key repeatedly.  Is there any guidance on how to get to the BIOS battery care settings on this device ?  Thank you.

The chance is you can't do this in BIOS of your machine. HP sets it as default on many business machines to have 3 years warranty on batteries as shown on my machine, which is an HP Elitebook 840 G5:
