Hi @Emily484,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

To successfully connect your wireless HP keyboard to your HP computer, follow these steps:

Unpack and Prepare the Keyboard:

  • Ensure that the wireless keyboard has fresh batteries installed if required.
  • Turn on the keyboard by switching it on, typically found on the back or side of the keyboard.

Locate the USB Receiver:

  • Most HP wireless keyboards come with a USB receiver (dongle). Find this receiver in the keyboard's packaging.

Insert the USB Receiver:

  • Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port on your HP computer.
  • The computer should automatically detect the receiver and start installing the necessary drivers.

Pair the Keyboard:

  • Some keyboards may require you to press a "Connect" button on either the keyboard or the USB receiver to establish a connection.
  • If your keyboard has an LED indicator, wait for it to signal a successful connection, typically through a steady light.

Test the Connection:

  • Open a document or text application and start typing to ensure the keyboard is working correctly.

Troubleshoot if Necessary:

  • If the keyboard doesn’t connect, try disconnecting and reconnecting the USB receiver.
  • Make sure there are no physical obstructions between the keyboard and the receiver.
  • Restart your computer and attempt the setup process again.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
