When gaming, there are moments when I need to use the Shift key to crouch, sprint, etc. Sometimes, I manage to press Ctrl + Shift + S + D simultaneously, and it turns my screen black, displaying "Check HDMI-In Cable." Pressing this hotkey once more, it returns to normal, with the top of the computer saying "Active Port: PC." The reason why this is a problem is that it's super annoying and it interferes with whatever I was doing. I looked at other related posts and found one that pointed out you can't disable it; refer to this post: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/questions/hp-pavilion-24-touch-screen-all-in-one-intel-core-i5-12gb-mem.... There were no further responses, so I'm now asking if there's at least a way to override this hotkey. Thanks a lot.

Hi @Ivan0812
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
You're not alone in finding this shortcut disruptive—with the Ctrl + Shift + S + D hotkey triggering a switch to the HDMI-In port.
Unfortunately, based on HP’s documentation and community feedback, this hotkey is hardcoded into the system firmware and cannot be disabled or remapped through Windows settings or HP software.
If my response helped, please mark it as an Accepted Solution! ✅ It helps others and spreads support. 💙 Also, tapping "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" makes a big difference! Thanks! 😊
Take care, and have an amazing day!
