Product: HP 3301 / HP 9135e printer
Operating System: Other

I understand that these printers check for valid HP ink cartridges. I have no problem with this requirement but I want to know what the following:

What other functions does Wolf security offers for these printers? 

 

Can the Wolf security be disabled or uninstalled on these printers?

 

I understand why one would want to protect the printer bios from malware. I am still not clear what the Wolf Security is doing in the printer except protecting the printer from non-HP bios updates.  

 

Does it really slow down the speed per many online forums?

 

operating systems: ChromeOS, Linux, Apple, and Android only.
