Operating System: Linux

I have a HP Thin client Thinpro t540 but i am unable to install any software on it after downloading.

You'd get more answers on a linux specific forum I suspect. If you're installing Linux software tell them what errors you get when doing sudo apt-get install. If you're trying to run Windows software on Linux, look up about Wine and ask on the Wine forums for your software in question. If all else fails, probably reinstall Linux.
