Hi, Denta:

That is very odd the USB ports aren't working on a clean install of W10.

As long as you have a product key for W7, you can reinstall it and it will activate.

Did you run a hardware diagnostics test on the PC?

You may want to make a bootable 4 in 1 diagnostics USB tool and see if there is a hardware issue.

That utility can be found on the bottom center of the webpage.

Although if you are having the same issue on two PC's...it probably isn't that.

Did you install the latest chipset driver directly from Intel?  Maybe that will fix the problem.

Download, unzip and run the setup application, and restart the PC.

Hi:

There is no such thing as standalone USB or USB 3 drivers for W8, 8.1 or W10.

I suggest you back up your files and reinstall W10, because there is something majorly wrong with the OS.

Hi Paul,

The machine had 8, then it was back dated to 7, now has 10. I just reloaded 10 this morning. Whats worse is i have two of these machines with the same issue. I feel like if I loaded them with 7 they would be fine and I like 7 but I have no idea how long MS will preform activation on 7?

Thanks for the responce.

Many thanks, Again,
