Hi,

My laptop's touchpad and keyboard stopped functioning while I was asleep. Here's what I know:

- It was working last night, and with no changes to its positioning, it is no longer. (hardware was not jostled or used)

- Both the keyboard and touchpad ceased function at the same time. The power button works.

- USB-connected devices work, but are impractical for 90% of the time the laptop is in use

- All drivers are up to date, as is Windows Update.

- Touchpad driver has an error code 10 (timed out), while keyboard shows no issues on Windows 10 troubleshooter

- System Restore did not solve the problem.

 

It seems I've tried all solutions found online, but nothing has worked. It cannot possibly be a hardware failure considering the simultaneity and lack of use when the failure happened.

 

Any help would be appreciated.
