I recently had to reinstall Windows 10 on my HP Pavilion Slimline s5-1260 Desktop PC. In the process I lost the software to play Blu-Ray or DVD movies on my desktop. I'm looking to reinstall my Cyberlink PowerDVD 5 OEM 6CH software which is a bit outdated, the desktop originally had Windows 7. I've tried Cyberlink in which I have a Lifetime license, but they referred me to HP. HP has retired support but I found the drivers still available on my products page. I've exhausted all ways to solve this puzzle that I know of, any help would be most appreciative.

I found the W8 file that was offered for your model PC back in the day:
Info:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp59001-59500/sp59267.html
Exe:

You're very welcome, Tom.
I happened to find it on this reputable 3rd party driver website.
HP Pavilion Slimline s5-1260 drivers
When I can I like the provide the drivers from the official HP ftp site as I did for you.
Sometimes they are no longer available so you have to use the driver files from the Driverscollection website.
Hopefully it will work for you since your PC is on the list.
My only concern is you are running W10 so hopefully, the software won't reject the installation.
Other than the VLC player, there is one other HP file you can try which I had zipped and uploaded to my Skydrive folder a long time ago.
This is PowerDVD 12 for HP PC's:
You want do download, unzip and run the sp75514.zip file.
I'd have given you the direct links, but HP has removed sp75514 from the FTP site.
Cheers,
Paul

Thanks Paul,
I'll try the PowerDVD 10 link download first and I'll use compatibility mode to add administrator rights and Windows 8 legacy capabilities. If my Windows 10 won't accept that I'll try the alternative link, wish me luck!
Thanks again,
Tom

The download for the PowerDVD 12 worked but not untill I uninstalled the trial version that I already had on it. When I installed it last night I forgot to uninstall the trial version and even though the installation downloaded and the program worked, it would not play DVDs or Blu-ray. I uninstalled both and then reinstalled your download and it worked, thanks!.
BTW, I also have a lifetime license for Power2Go 4 OEM VCD that came with the PC, you wouldn't happen to have a download for that too?

You're very welcome.
See if this Power2Go version works:
8.0.3.3207
If not, use the version that supposedly shipped with your PC:
6.1.6305
