Elitedesk 800 twr G4
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Due to problems with our 3rd party software not being compatible with Windows 10 I am trying to get Windows 7 running on our Elitedesk 800 TWR G4 pc. This is until our other software issues are sorted out.  My problem is that when i try to install windows 7 the mouse and keyboard wont work.  I have tried to add some drivers into the intall files but no success.  Is it at all possible to do this.  If not and i am trying to do the impossible can someone please explain why for my own knowledge.

Thank you in advance

Hi:

You can only run W10 on that platform.

The last elitedesk 800 that could run W7 in all respects was the G2.

You can also run W7 on the G3 if you add a graphics card, or modify the W10 Intel graphics driver to work in W7.

You can follow this discussion to see if this forum member will ever be able to install W7 on a whiskey lake platform...

IMHO, it will never happen.
