24-a010

Hi, is there a way to get the specs for a HP 24-A010 desktop?  I was looking all over the support page.  I need to see what the original drive was in this system as it's been replaced now.

Serial number is [edited]

Thanks!

@DVDDUDE1,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Here are the quick specifications for the HP Pavilion All-in-One - 24-a010 (V8N88AA) which is fitted with the Saipan-4GQ motherboard (SSID: 81B7).

Performance:

  • Processor: 6th Generation Intel Core i5-6400T, a 64-bit quad-core processor with a 6 MB L3 cache. Can be upgraded up to an i7-6700T.
  • Graphics: Integrated Intel HD Graphics 530.

Memory and storage:

  • Memory: 8 GB DDR4 SDRAM (2 x 4 GB) with a speed of 2133 MHz, up to 2x8GB of DDR4 RAM.
  • Storage: 1 TB SATA 7200 rpm hard disk drive (HDD). If you were to switch to a SATA SSD as your primary (boot) drive (if you haven't done so already), this would greatly increase your AIO's performance.

Display and audio:

  • Display: 23.8-inch diagonal Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS WLED-backlit edge-to-edge display. The screen is not a touchscreen.
  • Audio: B&O PLAY audio with integrated speakers and dual array digital microphones.

Ports and connectivity:

  • Networking: Integrated 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11ac Wireless LAN.
  • Bluetooth: Bluetooth 4.0.
  • Rear Ports: Two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 port, one HDMI port, one DC power input, one LAN port, and a lock slot.
  • Bottom Ports: One USB 3.0 Type-C port, one USB 3.0 port (supports fast charging), one headphone/microphone combo jack, and one HP 3-in-1 media card reader.

Input devices:

  • Keyboard and Mouse: Includes a wireless keyboard with volume control and a wireless optical mouse.

Dimensions and weight:

  • Dimensions (H x W x D): 15.90 x 21.20 x 7.51 inches.
  • Weight: 14.78 lbs (unpackaged).

Perhaps your question is related to Windows 11.

If you like your AIO, which is an "unsupported" PC for Windows 11, there are, however, a number of reliable and effective bypass methods developed which would allow you to almost effortlessly upgrade your so-called "unsupported device" to Windows 11, such as this easy-to-follow YouTube instructional video shows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSrmhhigEhY&t=332s&ab_channel=Tips2Fix.

This method uses a clever Microsoft (Server) backdoor Windows 11 install method.

This works great: I have used it myself on a number of legacy HP desktops without any issues whatsoever.

I cannot emphasize enough that this particular W11 upgrade method is hard to beat in terms of simplicity!

The Tips2Fix approach basically modifies the Windows 11 install media by replacing just one file (appraiserres.dll) with the Windows 10 version, which instantly disables all TPM, CPU, and Secure Boot checks without extra prompts or tool-specific steps.

Unless Microsoft changes the installer logic in future builds, this file-swap method will likely remain the quickest workaround for unsupported hardware such as your HP Pavilion All-in-One - 24-a010.

Anyway, in the off-chance you don't like W11, you have 10 days to roll back to Windows 10. After 10 days, unless you follow the steps outlined in this instructional video, you may need to do a fresh install of Windows 10. Either way, this video will show you what to do with easy-to-follow instructions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2v9_-4JCh_U&ab_channel=Tips2Fix.

@DVDDUDE1,

So, the original stock drive was a slowpoke 1TB SATA HDD with either p/n: 752862-002 "Hard Drive - 1TB, 7200 RPM, SATA, HGST JAGUAR C", p/n: 836571-001 "Hard Drive - 1TB, 2.5", SGT, D8X, SATA6G", or p/n: 857901-800 "Hard Drive - GNRC, 1TB 7200 RPM 9.5mm SATA".
