I recently purchased the PC listed and as part of the HP setup process I am being offered a trial of Express VPN. I have an existing VPN solution that I have already installed and do not wish to have to give up my email address for a trial i won't use. I can only use the close button to get out of this dialogue and so the the HP support app is telling me I haven't finished setting up the PC until i do. There is no way to opt out and I am stuck at this step of the process.
It's not a big deal just a bit annoying that I don't appear to be able to say no or complete the setup without giving my email address to a third party. This in no way reflects poorly on Express VPN I just use another product I have already paid for.

hi
sorry, I don't see at what stage you are stuck, if during the installation of windows or after, and not had this type of problem of email address to give
If you can't pass this step, it seems strange to me..
but if no other choice, simply create an email address, which is said to be disposable, an address which will not be useful to you, and indicate there instead of your real address

To be honest I thought this was against some kind of advertising code of conduct, I'm surprised to see HP using these tactics or allowing them to be used under their auspices.
Thankyou for your reply, it is of course the obvious answer but not one I'm happy with.

yes, I think well, it is the simplest if nothing else is possible I think..
Can you share pictures of these screens, if you can go back to this problem?
That might help find something..
