Are you running the battery down to less than 2 percent?  If so, then when you start to recharge the battery, it will not start Windows, until the battery reaches about 5 percent.

There might be a fault in the circuits that direct part of the incoming power to the battery, and part to the motherboard. The battery may not be receiving ANY port.

How old is the battery?  Years?  Can you buy a replacement on eBay or Amazon?

I purchased the laptop from Best Buy during 2020. But I haven’t checked or even thought to buy a new battery.

@Jar14 -- unless you also purchased some type of "extended warranty" from BestBuy, you either have:

* a problem with the battery,

* a problem with the laptop's motherboard not directing some of the AC power toward recharging the battery.

So, buying a new battery, around $50, is probably cheaper than getting an "board-level" electronics technician to trouble-shoot and try to repair, and definitely much cheaper than trying to find a replacement motherboard.
