How do I reset the Bios on a HPOmen running Windows 11?

To reset the BIOS on your OMEN by HP 25L Gaming Desktop PC GT15-0000a (4Q9S4AV) running Windows 11, follow these steps:

Method 1: Reset BIOS via BIOS Setup

1. Restart your computer:
   • Press Restart from the Start menu or hold the power button to shut down and power on again.
2. Enter BIOS:
   • As your computer starts, repeatedly press the Esc or F10 key (depending on your system) to enter the BIOS setup screen.
3. Restore BIOS Defaults:
   • Once in the BIOS, use the arrow keys to navigate.
   • Find the option for Restore Defaults or Reset BIOS Settings (this is usually under the Exit or Save & Exit tab, or in an Advanced section).
   • Select Load Setup Defaults or Restore Defaults, and then press Enter.
4. Save and Exit:
   • After restoring the default settings, select Save & Exit (usually found on the last tab) and press Enter.
   • Your computer will restart with the BIOS settings reset to default.

Method 2: Reset BIOS via Clear CMOS (Motherboard Jumper/ Battery)

If you're unable to access BIOS or the above method doesn't work, you can reset the BIOS by clearing the CMOS:

Shut down your computer and unplug the power cable.

Open the side panel of your desktop (you may need a screwdriver).

Locate the CMOS Battery:

• The CMOS battery is a small, round silver battery on the motherboard.

Remove the CMOS battery:

• Carefully pop the battery out of its holder using a non-metallic tool (or your fingers).

Wait for 5-10 minutes to clear the BIOS settings.

Reinsert the CMOS battery.

Close the case and reconnect the power cable.

Power on your computer:

• Your BIOS should now be reset to factory defaults.

Method 3: Reset BIOS via HP PC Hardware Diagnostics

If you have HP's diagnostic tools installed:

1. Restart your PC and press F2 repeatedly during startup to access HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
2. In the menu, choose System Tests > Component Tests > Power.
3. You may find an option here to reset BIOS defaults.

Once your BIOS is reset, you may need to reconfigure certain settings (boot order, system time, etc.) if needed for your system configuration.
