My guess is that you ADDED this keyboard and only after that, did French appear as the default language, right?
If that is the case, it looks like the attachment of that keyboard triggered the installation of a French language pack that has now become the default, or it changed the default language to French.
What MIGHT fix that is changing the language -- as shown in this thread: https://www.itechtics.com/windows-10-language/
