My PC was updated to Win 10 PRO awhile ago. I have been using the Intel Rapid Storage drive that came with the system. I am now going to do a complete reinstall of windows 10 PRO and wipe out everything on the HD. My question is does this system support the Intel Optane memory driver.
This is the basic system info:
Device name HP-ENVY
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4820K CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 GHz
Installed RAM 32.0 GB
Device ID C98520B1-4D30-4E9E-A102-DE5D8BBC17B5
Product ID 00330-80000-00000-AA036
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Pen and touch No pen or touch input is available for this display
Thanks!

That is correct.
The link I posted is the one for your PC's chipset.
You have to read the release notes for the specific version RST driver you want to install.
The link you initially posted supports the following chipsets...see page 2 of the release notes.
Your PC as an Intel series 8 chipset, which is not listed as supported by that driver.
Release_Note_16_8_3_1003.pdf (intel.com)
The version I posted, while older supports the chipset your PC has.
See the Readme file notes.

* 1. OVERVIEW
**************************************************************************
Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology Release is designed to provide
functionality for the following Storage Controllers:
- Intel(R) 9 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI/RAID Controller
- Intel(R) 8 Series/C220 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI/RAID Controller
- Intel(R) 7 Series/C216 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI/RAID Controller
- Intel(R) C600 Series Chipset SATA AHCI Controller
Now, if you want to try the newest driver from the link you posted, I suppose the worst thing that will happen is it will report a 'platform not supported' error and the installation will terminate.
If the installation is not successful, then install the driver I posted and ignore the newer driver notice.

Hi:
Below is the link to the motherboard specs for your PC.
Your PC does not support Intel Optane memory as there are no M.2 slots.
In order for a PC to support Optane memory, it has to have a M.2 slot that supports NVMe M.2 drives.

Thanks. I, therefore, assume I should just download the "SetupRST.exe" file available here: Download Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) User Interface and Driver and install it after I reinstall Win 10 PRO.
Is there anything else I should be aware of?

You're very welcome.
I don't believe that version supports the Intel series 8 chipset and 4th gen processors.
I believe your PC uses this one...

That page has a warning message: A newer version of this software is available, which includes functional and security updates. Customers should click here to update to the latest version.
The version shown on your URL is: Version: 14.8.16.1063 (Previously Released)
This page lists several different versions: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/55005/Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Intel-RST-
Honestly, I am now completely confused.
