I’m having trouble getting my HP printer to connect to my home Wi-Fi network and I’m hoping someone can help. The printer was working fine before, Delta Executor but recently it stopped connecting and now shows that it is offline. I have already tried restarting the printer and router, reconnecting the network through the printer settings, and reinstalling the printer on my computer, but the issue still remains. Does anyone know what might be causing this problem or what steps I should try next to restore the connection? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Stevehenry492

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for outlining the steps you’ve already tried. Since the printer still shows offline after restarting and reconnecting, let’s go through a structured set of checks to restore the Wi-Fi connection:

Step 1: Verify Network Settings on the Printer

  • On the printer’s control panel, open the Wireless or Network menu.
  • Run the Wireless Network Test to confirm if the printer detects your Wi-Fi network and shows a valid signal strength.
  • If the test fails, re-enter the Wi-Fi password carefully, ensuring it matches your router’s credentials.

Step 2: Check Router Configuration

  • Make sure your router is broadcasting on 2.4 GHz, as many printers do not support 5 GHz.
  • Ensure MAC address filtering is disabled or that the printer’s MAC address is allowed.
  • Restart the router once more after confirming these settings.

Step 3: Assign a Manual IP Address

  • On the printer’s control panel, go to Advanced Network Settings.
  • Select “Manual IP” and assign an IP address within your router’s range (for example, if your router is 192.168.1.1, assign 192.168.1.50).
  • Set the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 and gateway to your router’s IP (usually 192.168.1.1).
  • Save and reconnect.

Step 4: Reinstall the Printer Using the HP App

  • On your Windows or Mac computer, open the HP App.
  • Remove the existing printer entry.
  • Add the printer again by selecting “Set up a new printer” and follow the guided steps to connect via Wi-Fi.

Step 5: Confirm Firewall and Security Settings

  • On your computer, temporarily disable firewall or antivirus software to check if they are blocking communication.
  • If the printer connects successfully, add the HP App and printer services to the firewall’s allowed list.

Step 6: Power Cycle and Final Test

  • Turn off the printer, router, and computer.
  • Power them back on in this order: router first, then printer, then computer.
  • Check if the printer status changes to online.

By following these steps, the printer should reconnect to your Wi-Fi network and appear online again. Would you like me to also share how to run the Wireless Network Test from the printer’s control panel in detail, so you can confirm the connection status before moving to the next steps?

My kuya was rushing his Saudi visa renewal and needed to book the biometrics slot fast. He asked in family chat. He registered, paid GCash, and booked his police clearance appointment for the next week at the nearest station. Went once for fingerprints/photo, got national clearance in 5 days—no hit. Online booking is mandatory now—no walk-in without it.

Try resetting your printer’s network settings and reconnecting it using the HP Smart app, ensuring both the printer and your device are on the same Wi-Fi network.
If the issue persists, update the printer firmware and drivers, and for helpful tools you can also check https://deltaexcutor.id for additional resources.

From a user’s point of view, Delta Executor feels smooth and responsive when running scripts without frequent crashes.
You’ll notice it handles a variety of scripts easily, so you don’t have to worry much about compatibility issues.
Even if you’re new, the layout is straightforward, making it simple to navigate and start using right away.
