Hi!
I know you already solved the problem, but this solution did not work for me because HPDCSetup wrote that the software was incompatible with my laptop, and I could not just leave it as it was either. I found another way: I just blocked the system access to the folder in hpcustomcapcomp in DriverStore and the tmp files stopped being created and also I don't notice any problems with the system.
Just leaving it here, for others who are looking for solutions

Good day
@DonT54, @Prométhée and @Pro100body4
I don't think we'll ever get rid of the file HPDCSetup.exe file (Installer for HP Display Control Service).
Even today, Windows Update updated the driver "HP Inc. - SoftwareComponent - 1.55.3353.0", creating a new folder at C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\hpcustomcapcompcomp.inf_amd64_3fe14bedeb9ca7a2\x64 with the date of creation of this update, where this file every time the computer starts up it creates that temporary file again.
Why does HP send Microsoft that file for those who don't have displays compatible with that program?
