Hi @ROLBA,

I understand your HP Desktop M01-F0xxx is showing error 0x81000019 when trying to use Secure Copy. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Restart the computer and printer/scanner

Turn off the printer or multifunction device.

Restart your HP Desktop and then power the printer back on.

Sometimes a fresh start clears temporary errors.

Check HP Smart or scanning software

Ensure you are using the latest version of HP Smart or the HP scanning utility.

Open the software and check for updates under Help → Check for Updates.

Verify security/copy settings

Error 0x81000019 often occurs when Secure Copy settings are mismatched, e.g., a PIN or password is required but missing.

Open the scanner/printer control panel and confirm that Secure Copy is enabled and that you’ve entered the correct PIN/password if prompted.

Update printer firmware

Connect your printer to HP Smart or the HP website and check for firmware updates.

Updating firmware often fixes Secure Copy errors and communication issues.

Check network connection

If the printer is connected over Wi-Fi, ensure the connection is stable.

For critical functions like Secure Copy, a wired connection (USB or Ethernet) may reduce errors.

Test with a different user account or software

Log in to Windows with another account and try Secure Copy.

If it works, the issue may be with your Windows user profile permissions.

Reset printer network settings (if still failing)

On the printer, reset network settings (check your model’s manual for the combination).

Reconnect to your PC and try Secure Copy again.

I hope this helps.
