How do I get and use the GUID prtition table (GPT) partitioning scheme. How do I make sure the firmware is UEFI and if not what has to be done to update it. My OS is Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

Your computer BIOS is linked to the original OS that was installed. Win 10 was never listed for that unit. To check the actual BIOS and whether it's BIOS (legacy), or UEFI, use this link.
As these units are circa 2011, and started with Windows XP, would you please do the test, and report back. I would also like to know what OS was installed when you purchased that unit. With the current flood of recertified and remanufactured units on the market in WIN 7 and WIN 10, it's a bargain at less than $100, but only if you understand the limitations.
