Hi  @doormat1

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thank you for reaching out. I understand that you have updated the BIOS and your system information shows the latest BIOS version installed, however the scan is still reporting that the BIOS is not up to date and that the Secure Boot requirement has not been met. I will certainly do my best to help you.

To better understand the issue, could you kindly share the below details:

  • The full HP product model number (Click here for steps )
  • The operating system version currently installed
  • The name of the application or scan reporting the issue
  • A screenshot of the BIOS update warning and the Secure Boot message

In the meantime, kindly try the below steps and confirm :

  1. Verify Secure Boot Status
    • Press Windows + R, type msinfo32, and press Enter.
    • Locate Secure Boot State and let us know if it shows On, Off, or Unsupported.
  2. Check BIOS Settings
    • Restart the PC and enter the BIOS menu (typically by pressing F10 during startup).
    • Navigate to the Security or Boot Options section.
    • Confirm that Secure Boot is enabled.
    • Save the settings and restart the system.
  3. Load BIOS Defaults
    • Enter BIOS Setup.
    • Select Restore Defaults or Setup Defaults.
    • Save the changes and restart the computer.
  4. Run Windows Update
    • Install all available Windows updates, including optional firmware and security updates.
    • Restart the computer after the updates are completed.
  5. Verify BIOS Version
    • In msinfo32, confirm the BIOS version and date.
    • Share this information with us so we can compare it with the latest version available for your model.

I hope this helps.
