Hi @oskeen

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To connect your PS4 to a desktop monitor, you’ll typically use the HDMI port on the monitor. Here’s how you can do it:

Steps to Connect PS4 to a Monitor:

Check Your Monitor: Ensure your monitor has an HDMI input. If it does, you can proceed with the connection.

Connect the HDMI Cable:

  • Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on your PS4.
  • Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on your monitor.

Power On the Devices:

  • Turn on your monitor and then power on your PS4. Make sure your monitor is set to the correct input source (HDMI). This is often done through the monitor’s settings menu.

Adjust Monitor Settings (if needed):

  • If your monitor has multiple input options, use the monitor's input/source button (this might be a physical button or a menu option) to select the HDMI input.

Audio Output:

  • If your monitor does not have built-in speakers, you may need to connect headphones or external speakers to the PS4. Alternatively, you can connect audio via an optical cable or use a headset.

Troubleshooting:

  • If you don’t see anything on the screen, double-check that the HDMI cable is securely connected on both ends.
  • Try using a different HDMI cable or port on the monitor, if available.
  • Ensure that the PS4 is properly powered on; you should see the PS4 light turn on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
