Hi:
Below is the link to the motherboard specs for your PC.
You can find the processor and memory upgrade info on this link.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00858789
BIOS update...your PC may already have the latest one available, which was v 5.15
All the update does is - Resolves issue with the SPDIF audio interface incorrectly labeled in the SPDIF Interface Properties window.
The update can only be run in Windows Vista, so I would not try to update the BIOS when running W10.
If you want to install Windows Vista, you can download the BIOS update file from this 3rd party driver site at the link below.
HP retired support for that model since it is over 10 years old.

hi
thank you for replying
I did try hp support and yes you was right HP doesn't support this pc anymore.
about vista its too late ive already in stalled win 10 ,
i was starting to get that feeling theres no hope, so all i do is upgrade what i have
so ive order AMD Turion 64 X2 Ultra Dual-Core 2.3GHz ZM-84 and 4GB 2X 2GB SDRAM DDR2
the worst thing about the pc is its was only used for less then 2 years befor the board failed and for the last 10 years it was in a attic and forgotten.
anyway thanks again
