@Thefunnel

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

By just turning off and turning on the computer will end the session running on the remote support. Running system check will not end//identify the ongoing remote session.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Using the computer with the possible remote access being implanted  would be noticeable or not?

I have changed passwords on credit cards and a few others.

but using the computer with the remote being possible will again allow the hacker to have the passwords. Correct?

I have been using iPad instead

Thank you for posting back.

These are few ways to protect your information:

  • Use anti-virus software
  • Don’t access personal or financial data with public Wi-Fi.
  • Turn off anything you don’t need.
  • Use a password, lock code or encryption.
  • Ignore pop-ups: pop-ups can contain malicious software which can trick a user into verifying something

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
