@Chaim7, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding scanner!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Generally, you can find the icon for an installed scanner in a few common locations:

Windows Devices and Printers:

  • Open the Control Panel.
  • Navigate to "Devices and Printers" or "Printers & Scanners."
  • Look for your scanner in the list of devices.

System Tray:

  • Check the system tray (bottom-right corner of the screen on Windows) for any scanner-related icons. Often, scanners or all-in-one printers have an icon here when they are correctly installed.

Scanner Software:

  • Check if scanner software was installed with your device. The installation should typically include a shortcut on your desktop or within the start menu.

Scanning Applications:

  • Open applications like "Fax and Scan" in Windows, which can manage and display available scanning devices.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!

On Windows 11, you can find your installed scanner icon here:

  1. Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners
Your scanner should be listed there.

  2. Control Panel > Devices and Printers
You might see the scanner as part of a printer device.

  3. Start Menu > Type "Windows Fax and Scan" or "Scan"
This will open the scan utility where your scanner should appear.

If it’s not listed, the driver might not be installed properly. In that case, visit the scanner manufacturer’s website and download the latest Windows 11 driver.
