I'm wondering if I can write to an sd card from my new HP20?

For what purpose? Typical SD cards (camera) are slow. My testing of a SanDisk Extreme 32GB SD card shows with the Transcend USB3.0 card reader I only get a transfer rate of 40-45MB/sec. But, the SanDisk Extreme 32GB USB3.0 thumb drive is a staggering 150-160MB/sec, again on a USB 3.0 port, and 40-45MB/sec on USB 2.0....
