Hi @Rabond

Did the disk have Windows installed?

If so, you're just giving it the same name as your previous computer. Remember to use a copy of Windows from another computer; otherwise, it will stop working soon because the license doesn't match.

so if i install a fresh copy of 11 it will correct

Sure. Or, if you'd like, I can change the computer's name.

You can't use Windows from another computer; Windows will crash.

Hi

I stuck the old m.2 card in and booted in to windows 11 and made a recovery drive and installed it on my 1tb drive,.

Went to bios settings by pressing esc on boot up, system details:

Hp 290 g2 business computer

Anyway of changing it to my original name.

What I'm trying to say is that if you create a recovery disk using data from the other PC, the name won't change.

Make a clean installation of Windows .

Ok

The bios info with windows

Model : Hp290 g2 Mt business pc

Bios version: F34
