Hello! I recently purchased an HP Monitor (22CWA) for my Macbook Air. My Macbook is pretty new and the software is fully up to date. I bought an adapter through Amazon and the adapter works for other devices. However, the monitor continues to tell me to "Check the video cable!" On or off, my system preferences does not recognize the monitor. Any recommendations? I have tried a hard reboot of the monitor as well as shutting down and restarting my Macbook. Thank you!

A warm welcome to HP forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.
As per this document, HP monitors are not supported in a Mac environment. However, newer Mac's use graphics with VESA modes and can display to most HP monitors. To do this, connect the monitor to the Mac while the Mac is off, and then turn on the MAC. The monitor should operate at 60Hz.
You may also try adjusting the Monitor Input control settings, push the Menu button on the Monitor and select Input control settings. Select Auto-Switch Input and change it to On.
