22vc External Monitor
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I can't connect my external monitor to my new computer.

Could this be because video card is not compatible?

What are the troubleshooting steps please?

@Onionsayswhat99

How do you connect them ?  Monitor has 3 input ports

  • 1 VGA
  • 1 HDMI
  • 1 DVI-D

You should be able to use any of the above ports. What is your computer ?

Regards.

I have a HP Elitebook and the monitor is a HP 22vc, probably 3-4 years old.

I connected it via vga port and then when that did not work - I tried the HDMI port - but still can't get it to work.

When in Control Panel - when I clicked on DETECT - it said that no other monitor was detected.  .

The monitor works fine on an older computer I have.  I now have a newer (2016) computer that I am trying to connect the monitor to - but can't get it to work
