I have a 27” curved monitor and the hdmi port has quit working on me. I originally had a PlayStation hooked up, then unhooked it and now it won’t register anything is plugged in. I have tried to connect a laptop through hdmi, tried changing sources, tried changing cables and nothing has seemed to work.

Hi @Jalyn2,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

It sounds like there might be an issue with the HDMI port on your monitor. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

Check the HDMI cable: Ensure that the HDMI cable is securely connected to both the monitor and the device you are trying to connect. Try using a different HDMI cable to see if the issue is with the cable.

Try a different HDMI port: If your monitor has multiple HDMI ports, try connecting your device to a different port to see if that resolves the issue.

Test the device: Connect the device (e.g., PlayStation) to a different monitor or TV using the same HDMI cable to verify that the device is working properly.

Reset the monitor: Turn off the monitor and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on to see if the HDMI port starts working again.

Check for firmware updates: Visit the manufacturer's website (support.hp.com)  to see if there are any firmware updates available for your monitor. Updating the firmware may resolve compatibility issues with HDMI devices.

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, there may be a hardware problem with the HDMI port on your monitor. In that case, you may need to contact the phone support for service.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
