Adding a monitor to All-in-One Touch Screen desktop

Trying to add an HP V27i FHD monitor to my HP Pavilion All-in-One 27-r0xx touch screen desk top via VGA. The computer is not seeing the monitor using either of the VGA ports on the All-in-One. This is even after using the detect function in settings/display. Any help, please?

What is the Product Number of the computer? I need this information to review the specifications of it. Please don't furnish the Serial # or other personal information. You can find the Product Number at the bottom of the page when you open HP Support Assistant.

I suggest that you use the HDMI out port on the computer to the HDMI port on the monitor.  You can buy a cable for under $10: https://www.walmart.com/ip/onn-HDMI-2-0-Cable-6ft-Black/326672935

You will get a much better picture.

On Page 8 in the section titled "Connecting the cables" it shows how to make all of the connections.

The reason that HDMI is better than VGA is, it transfers video and audio digitally from a source to a video display device.  VGA is analog.
