Adjusting the camera on an HP Envy 34

The camera on my HP Envy 34 has a very red tinged image that makes my face look all flushed.  Is there any way to adjust the color contrast on these cameras.  I can't find any.

Let's try these steps here: 

While some degree of purple tint may be present under low light conditions, turning off the webcam IR lights will reduce and in certain cases eliminate the purple tint.

1. Select Start > All Programs > HP > HP MediaSmart > HP MediaSmart Webcam.

2. In HP MediaSmart Webcam, select Settings > Display > Advanced Settings, and then click the Camera Control tab.

3. Select the Low Light Compensation check box, and then click Apply.

4. Click OK.

If the issue persists, I recommend you uninstall the webcam driver from device manager and then restart the computer and check.

Here is how it is done.

1. Start Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound, and then click Device Manager.
2. Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
3. On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
4. When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.

NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.

You may also update the Bios and Chipset drivers on your PC either from our HP support website, using this link or download it using HP support assistant.

To download and install HP support assistant on your PC. It should automatically download and install the latest updates and drivers for your PC.
