Just purchased a second monitor to attach to my HP All-In-One 24, the HP support staff recommended an HP 24yh because I could connect the two with an HDMI cord only. However, my HO 24yh is saying the HDMI is inactive and no video can be detected. Do I need another cord or adaptor?

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
- What is the product number for your computer?
- Do you have 2 HDMI ports on your computer?
If you have 2 HDMI ports on the computer, check whether both the ports are HDMI out ports. If one of the port is HDMI in then you will not be able to connect the monitor to it.
However, if there are any other display port available like VGA or DVI then you can connect the monitor to those ports and it should work fine.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
