Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP All in One 23-k105xt.

I want to add a second monitor, but the display settings don't detect the second monitor when plugged in with a working HDMI cable. I know the HDMI cable is not the problem, because I swapped it out with a cable that I know works and it still didn't detect.

The monitor turns on and worked in this capacity on a different computer, but that one died, and here we are.

I don't know if this is a problem with the hardware (such as the HDMI port) or the software (such as the port registration).

The specs of your machine is

It has  HDMI scalar card part # 720023-001 which is for HDMI in port. You can not use this port for an external monitor. You can use this port for a game console and use monitor of your AIO as a screen

This computer has a button next to the HDMI port that allows the port to switch from video in to video out.

I've had other problems with this machine, such as the headphone jack port doesn't work either.

So, what do we do then?
