HP Pavilion all-in-one 23-120 desktop

Hello, i wanted to ask how to fix a problem that has recently started to plague my computer. I mostly use my desktop for gaming and all the files that the games and files take up leaves my desktop with little memory.

The problem which i think may be connected to that, is simply that whilst i am using my desktop, two things are happening.

1. My downloaded applications (Which i have a few of) are not showing on the background screen. All of the icons and shortcuts refuse to start up.

2. My desktop will randomly just sign itself out whilst i am still using it. I can be using my desktop and within the first 15 or so minutes of it having been turned on, the screen will freeze, go dark, and then take me to the lock screen (Note this isn't because of a lack of activity. Since i have checked and it is set to never log off automatically even when i am inactive)

I really hope i dont have to give away this desktop as it contains a lot of applications and files that i need and hold close, and also i have been using it for almost five years and have grown to love it. If there is any fix, let me know.

Please run an SFC Scan and check if that helps. You can refer to this Link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/4026529/windows-10-using-system-file-checker

If the issue persists try creating a New User Account and let me know how it goes.
