Cannot get BenQ monitor to recognize my HP Envy all in one computer using HDMI port. Envy model 23se

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues connected an external monitor to the computer.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

The HDMI port on your computer is an HDMI IN port and you cannot connect an external display to the HDMI IN port.

 

You need an HDMI OUT port to connect a second monitor to the computer.

 

Refer to the below link for the product specifications of your computer.

I pretty much had to solve this on my own and had to guess at the adapter that would work with my Envy. Fortunately I had a solve as it appears some of the Envy models will not allow the output to the BenQ monitor at all. Thanks.
