I have had the HP M32F monitor connected to my work laptop through A HDMI cable for the last 6 months or so to use as a larger display screen. I’ve not had any issues and then this morning the screen just went black. There is still power to the screen as the light is on, I can hear a noise when I take out the HDMI cable, my laptop recognises there is another screen there but it’s just black. I’ve switched hdmi cables and it’s still not working, turned my laptop on and off, unplugged everything etc but it still just comes up with a black screen. Has anyone got any ideas?

If possible test the monitor with another video source
And try another monitor, with the laptop
by deduction, you will be able to know if it is indeed the monitor in question

Thank you for suggesting this, I tried my laptop with another monitor and it worked so it is definitely this monitor that is having issues and not my laptop. It still doesn’t work now and not sure what else to try.

It would be difficult to identify what the problem is
if the monitor has two video connector options, and that doesn't work either, you may have a serious problem
unplug it for a while, and hold down the power button
Reconnect it if nothing then, you should go see a professional, ask for a repair estimate
unfortunately sometimes it will be better to replace it
if this one

may help
