@Thonas12, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Blank Screen Issues on HP Digital Entertainment Centers!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your screen is displaying a blank (black) screen after startup, it could be attributed to several common issues. Here are steps to troubleshoot the problem effectively:
Steps to Diagnose and Resolve:
Check Video Setup:
- Make sure your video cables are properly connected and plugged into the correct connectors. Refer to your HP Digital Entertainment Center's User Guide for specific instructions on video cable connections.
Verify the TV/Display Input:
- Ensure that your TV is set to the right input that matches the Video Out connection from your HP device. Example inputs might be “Component 1”, “HDMI”, or “VGA”.
Video Out Connection Types:
- Identify if your video connection type is causing the issue. Different connector types such as composite video, S-video, component video, VGA, or DVI have specific troubleshooting procedures.
Restart Procedures:
- Fully turn off the TV/Display and the HP Digital Entertainment Center by pressing and holding the On/Standby power button for about 4 seconds.
- Power them back on and verify if the issue persists.
TV/Display Setup Wizard:
- Use the TV/Display Setup Wizard provided by HP to optimize your video image and configure display settings accurately.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
