HP Pavilion 25xi
macOS 12.0 Monterey

Hi,

I have an HP Pavilion 25xi monitor that I connect with me MacBook air.

Today a blue vertical line is showing up on the HP monitor screen. It's 2 inches from the left.  For around 3 seconds it disappeared but it appeared again and is permanent.

 

I plugged my computer to a different monitor and the blue line does not show up.

I also restarted my computer but the blue line is still appearing on this HP monitor.

I don't have this blue line on my laptop.

 

Can you please help.

P.S. I had to pick random categories when writing this message because I could not find any for the HP monitor.

I don't know if I understood everything!
if the screen works well with different computers , but it does not work with the Mac , it will be necessary to contact their support
not followed, if you could try another monitor on the mac?

Hi,

My mac works fine. When I connect it to the HP Pavilion 25xi monitor screen, I see a blue vertical line.

The blue line is 2 inches from the left side of the HP Pavilion monitor screen and it's vertical.

This started yesterday and seems to appear and disappear. Yesterday the blue line was visible all day.

 

As mentioned previously. I don't see this blue line on another monitor only on the HP Pavilion 25xi monitor.

 

Can you please advise,

sorry , so if this appears, even randomly, on any device, then the monitor is faulty, there is nothing that can be done here

In general, this type of problem is hardware!
The monitor has the same problem with different computers, and other monitors work, in 90% of cases at least it's an internal problem / hardware not software
