Hi there, so I bought a HP Pavilion for gaming and I realised that I cannot press 3 buttons at the same time. I can only press 2. Or when I press 1 button and try moving my cursor while holding the button it won't work. Is there any fix to this? I don't want to use another keyboard or mouse. I don't know if I put it into the right category.

Hey there! @MichalJ9, Welcome to HP forums.
I understand you have keyboard issues with your laptop.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?
Have you tried checking with an external keyboard? Does the issue persist?
As you mentioned you would like to use 3 keys at a time and use the touchpad at the same time on your PC.
Please provide the product number of your PC to assist you better.
Try the steps recommended below.
If you do not want to use a mouse, then you need to disable the Palmcheck sensitivity from the touchpad properties. Check the steps below:
Search for Mouse on the Windows search and select “Mouse & Touchpad settings” from the search results.
Now, select Additional mouse options under Related settings. The Mouse Properties window opens.
Go to TouchPad tab and select Settings option.
Now, go to Advanced tab, under the SmartSense tab, drag the pointer all the way to the left and save the settings.
This should fix the problem
Also, I’d suggest using an external mouse to overcome this issue. If you use an external mouse it will help you navigate even while you are pressing a key.
Refer this article to further troubleshoot keyboard issues with your laptop.

I don't think I did make any software/hardware changes.
I tried an external keyboard and it seemed like it worked, although the left arrow never worked when I pressed 2 buttons with it, so I don't know what is going on with that.
My product number - Z3D13EA#ABU
The thing you said would work actually never changed anything, also I don't want to use a mouse all I want is just to fix this.
Someone told me it might be 'Keyboard Ghosting' ?

@MichalJ9, It's great to hear from you again.
I appreciate your efforts for trying out the steps.
Keyboard manufacturers often put many keys on the same "circuit" of sorts within the wiring of the keyboard. This prevents multiple keys in the same region of the keyboard from being pressed simultaneously. Sometimes it even prevents more than 2 keys at all from across the whole keyboard being pressed at once. Often the shift, ctrl, and alt keys are not within this limitation, so you can hold shift and press 2 other keys at once and it will still work fine.
You have to purchase a gaming keyboard in order to use 3 or more keys at the same time.
Hope this answers your query!
Have a great day ahead! 🙂
