I had been using two monitors. But, it seems that one of the DVI ports is no longer working.  I’ve swapped monitors, cables, and adapters and nothing gets a display working on that port. I thought a workaround would be to get an ultra wide monitor and run it from the good port. The ultrawidde monitor’s resolution is about as wide as both of the monitors I had been using.   The problem is, in the monitor settings, the highest resolution available is 1920 x 1080. I need 2560 x 1080. So, the display’s proportions are way off.

I’m wondering if I can put an upgraded video card in this computer. And, if so, what would be a good one to run one 2560x1080 monitor? Also, would the existing power supply be adequate?

i do not use the computer for gaming or anything else that would require high end graphics. Just the basics.
