The only video ports are display ports. How do I view the BIOS when it doesn't show up with Display Port? I tried a monitor that was DVI with an adapter to DP, didn't work. Direct DP to DP doesn't work. Do I have to install another video card just to be able to get into the BIOS? Is this something manufacturers need to be aware of so they can be sure to include legacy video options?

Thanks,

Jessica

Nevermind...

Apparently I can't see. LOL In doing some research to find a way around the issue, one of the options was to update my display drivers. I opened the NVidia control panel and it showed that nothing was connected. I turned the computer around and after a little bit of staring at it like I was missing something I finally seen the extra ports for the NVidia card. They were tucked up under the top edge of the cover. Connected there and rebooted and was able to get into the BIOS.

It's crazy because everything I was reading said there was no BIOS support for DP. I'm just glad it's working.

Thanks,

Jessica

I knew this was going to come back and bite me. New computer with on-board display port and nvidia card with 4 mini display port connections. No cables included to use that nvidia card so it's pointless. No monitor comes with a mini display port cable.
Anyway, once again there is no support with these drivers for the BIOS. Can't even see the HP logo while the computer boots up. Can't see anything till you get the the Windows login screen. So how do we get to the BIOS with these adapters???

If you don't want us to see the BIOS, the least you can do is turn the num-lock on at boot option in the BIOS.

Strongly rethinking HP computers. This is the third one that we've had issues with getting to the BIOS. Only one of them was ever able to see it. The first one is waiting for support to come fix it because after 9 months all display adapters quit working. Do better HP!!!

Solution please...

Thanks,

Jessica
