Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.
I understand that you have an HP Beats 23-n201d All-in-One Desktop PC. I read that the mouse cursor moves and clicks by itself at the bottom right corner. Even if the mouse is turned off the issue persists.
I would like to know the following information to assist you better:
- Did any software changes or updates happen recently on the PC post which this issue may have started?
- Do you have another USB mouse to connect and check if it works fine?
I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:
- Connect the USB receiver to another USB port and check if the mouse works fine.
-
Try using the mouse on a different surface. For instance, if you are using an optical mouse on a glossy surface, use a mouse pad.
-
Reconnect the mouse.
-
If you have a wireless mouse, try to connect the USB receiver to a different port.
-
If you have a wired USB mouse, disconnect and reconnect to a different USB port.
-
If you have a wired mouse using a PS/2 connection, proceed to the next step.
-
-
Clean the sensor or LED surface of the mouse. Use a damp cotton swab with a mild cleaner and gently clean the optical sensor and the LED lens or laser lens located on the bottom of the mouse.
-
Try the mouse on another computer or a different mouse on the current computer to see if the issue follows the mouse to the other computer.
-
If the issue does not occur on another computer with the same mouse, it could be software related.
-
If the issue persists on another computer with the same mouse, the mouse might be defective.
You may also uninstall the mouse drivers from the device manager (located under "mice and other pointing devices"). You need to restart the PC for Windows to reinstall the mouse drivers.
I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. Feel free to keep me posted. Good luck! 🙂

I dun remember did in update anything, but I was away two weeks ago and after my trip it has this problem. 😞
I tried other mouse too, it's still same.
The issue appear when I on my computer before I log in and before I on the mouse. Sometimes I can't even key my password properly cause of the cursor already start to clicking on the other side. So I don't think it is mouse's issue.

Greetings @Cheayen, I am the @Chimney_83. It looks like you were interacting with @MKazi, but he is out of the office today so I'll take over from here.
Thanks for the reply and trying a different mouse with your computer. Have you tried to uninstall the mouse driver from device manager as suggested earlier?
As you have mentioned that the mouse was working fine earlier, recommend you perform a system restore on your computer to an earlier date when it was working fine and check. Click here for assistance.
Keep me posted. Good Luck.

For the system restore, I'm not able to restore to the earlier date when it was working fine. The earliest date is 8 Aug where the problem had appear. >.<

@MKazi is at your service. Glad to hear from you. You've been fabulous to work with considering your superb technical skills, remarkable patience and great attitude. Kudos to you for that.
The other mouse that you tried using, was it a USB or a wireless mouse? If wireless then try using a USB mouse.
Meanwhile, I suggest you to perform a Windows refresh (repair). Though this link is for Win8, the steps will work for Win10 too. The refresh option is primarily a repair method - a way to return your computer to a known good state.
I hope this helps. Let me know. Thanks. Cheers! 🙂

Hi, I got other solutions from the HP online chat service, had disable the touch screen. So far it works fine these two days! no more cursor moving and clicking itself. But may need to check the exact issue as well.
Thanks!
