I am still having problems with desktop icons moving to the far left of the monitor on start up.  I have tried several different fixes, none of which worked for very long.  Any body have a suggestions.

Thanks

Hi

Windows default settings have the Desktop icons on the left side of the Desktop.

So I am not sure what you are trying to correct

I try to place my desktop icons in strategic places for ease of use.  They are not just on the left side of the desktop. I place where I feel they will be more useful.  I hope that explains my reference.

Hi

Thanks for the additional info.

You should be able to fix that by right clicking on an open desktop area.

Select View.

Uncheck (Auto arrange icons) and uncheck (Align icons to grid).

Let me know if this helps.

That was the first solution that I tried Tom, but thanks for answer.  Somehow, all icon are in their right places for now.  I'm wondering if updates may cause the icons to move from the places that I put them?
