System Configuration:
PC Model: HP Z2 G4 SFF
CPU: Intel Core i5-8500
RAM: 16 GB
Storage: 250 GB SSD
GPU 1: Nvidia Quadro P400
GPU 2: AMD Radeon Pro WX 4100
OS: Windows 11
Additional Hardware: WiFi PCIe Card
The Issue: I've been experiencing recurring problems with my AMD Radeon Pro WX 4100. Every so often, the resolution drops to 640x480, and the only temporary fix is to reseat the graphics card. While this restores the normal resolution, the problem keeps returning and has become more frequent recently.
Here's what I've tried so far:
Inspecting and cleaning the card.
Updating and reinstalling drivers.
Checking settings in Device Manager and Event Viewer (nothing GPU-related appears).
- All Software troubleshooting Microsoft Recommends.
Despite these efforts, I haven't been able to identify the cause or find a solution.
What I Need Help With: If anyone has insights or suggestions that could address this issue or prevent it from happening again, I’d greatly appreciate your advice! Specifically:
Could this be a hardware failure (e.g., the GPU or PCIe slot)?
Are there software or diagnostic tools I’ve overlooked?
- Is it something related with HP and AMD drivers?
- Is a cable problem from my DisplayPort to VGA?
- Are these common among many AMD cards?
Thank you in advance for your help!
