There is a stain on my laptop screen. I tried many times to remove it, even with a microfiber cloth, but it’s not going away. The stain is only visible when light falls on the screen

@Yash9021,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

If the stain doesn’t go away with a microfiber cloth and gentle cleaning using distilled water or a 50/50 mix of distilled water and isopropyl alcohol, then it’s likely not dirt on the surface.

It may be a pressure mark or damage in the screen’s anti-glare coating or the LCD layers.

Unfortunately, such marks usually cannot be removed by cleaning. The only permanent solution is to have the screen replaced.

If your laptop is still under warranty, I recommend contacting HP Support to check repair options.

Kind Regards,
