My display is skewed - the very top of the screen is at the bottom. On old monitors there was a button that would scroll the display to readjust it. This touchsmart display does not seem to have controls. I did hit display reset from settings, but that did not correct the problem.

Thank you for keeping me posted.
I recommend you boot to BIOS by tapping the F10 key on startup and check whether the issue persists in BIOS as well.
If the issue persists in BIOS then it is a hardware issue.
Please post your results, as I will be looking forward to hearing from you.

Welcome to the HP Forums!
This is a wonderful place to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips.
I reviewed your post and understand that the display is skewed upside down.
I'll be glad to help you 🙂
I recommend you press control+atl+down arrow to bring the display to normal. In case that doesn’t work try using the up arrow key and check.
Let me know how it goes. Awaiting your reply!

Not upside down - just kind of scrolled wrong. The top few horizontal lines show up at the bottom, like the screen has been scrolled upward. The bottom lines (that should be at the top of the screen) keep flickering. Ctl - alt - arrow did not change anything. Thanks for your prompt reply - anything else I can try?

It is great to have you back and your patience is greatly appreciated.
Is it possible to share a screenshot of the screen so that I can provide you with a more accurate solution?
Awaiting your reply.

This is a youtube shot of the screen - you can see the top of my husband's head is at the bottom of the screen. The screen stays like this for any applications running also. https://youtu.be/umG7UGqjoZY

I recommend you update your display drivers and check if the issue persists.
Here is how it is done.
- Press Windows + R on the Keyboard.
- Type in devmgmt.msc and click on Ok.
- Select the Graphic driver from the list by extending Display adapters.
- Right click on the Graphic driver and click on Update driver Software.
If you continue to face the issue I recommend you update the bios from the below link and check if it helps.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
