I understand you're experiencing a sudden white patch on the display of your Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fa2700TX. Let's work together to resolve this issue.

Check for External Display Issues

  • Connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV using HDMI.
  • If the external display works fine, the issue is likely with your laptop’s screen or internal display cable.

Perform a Hard Reset

  • Shut down the laptop.
  • Disconnect the power adapter and remove any peripherals.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power and turn the laptop back on.

Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

HP provides built-in diagnostics to check for hardware issues:

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Turn it back on and immediately press Esc repeatedly, then F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.
  • Select Component Tests > Display and run the test.

Update Graphics Drivers

  • Open Device Manager (Right-click Start > Device Manager).
  • Expand Display adapters, right-click your GPU, and select Update driver.
  • Alternatively, visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page and enter your product name to download the latest drivers.

Check for Physical Damage

If the white patch persists and is visible even during boot or BIOS screen, it may indicate:

  • LCD panel damage
  • Loose or damaged display cable

In such cases, a physical inspection by an HP Authorized Service Center is recommended. Please visit the nearest HP authorized service center, the service team will check and assist you.
